Slag Gallery is pleased to present the two-person exhibition The Childlike Life featuring new works by Chris "Dacs" D'Acunto and Sarah Fuhrman. The Childlike Life, the name of Chris D'Acunto and Sarah Fuhrman’s two-person show, comes from Kathy Acker’s 1973 debut novella The Childlike Life of the Black Tarantula. Mashing dramatized autobiography with pornography and appropriated texts from canonical authors such as Charles Dickens and Marcel Proust, Acker’s novella is as much as a collage as it is a work of fiction.

Sarah Fuhrman’s paintings circle around issues of ecology, observational play, and the study of human behavior.
