Born in 1970 in Limberg, Germany and studied at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste Karlsruhe (1991) and the Akademie für Bildende Künste Mainz (1993) in Germany.  Geis has been shown internationally in numerous solo and group exhibitions in institutions such as the Centre George Pompidou, Paris; the Musée National d'Art Moderne, Paris; Portland Art Museum, Portland; Kunsthalle am Hamburger Platz, Berlin; Museum Abtei Liesborn, Wadersloh;  Künstlerhaus Palais Thurn und Taxis, Bregenz;  Künstlerhaus Bethanien, Berlin; to name a selected few.
