Gail M Boykewich is an American painter and sculptor whose work explores a deep reverence for the interconnectedness of all living things. Her pieces feature imagined portraits with lush botanical elements, rendered in vividly colored careful detail to create an immersive environment that feels both familiar and mysterious.
Boykewich has a BFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she studied painting, sculpture, and fiber arts. She is a 2026 recipient of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts Individual Artist Fellowship, and an ongoing Artist Mentor-in-Residence at Project 14C in Jersey City, NJ. Her career is marked by a diverse exhibition history extending across cities New York, Los Angeles, and Miami, including presentations at Jersey City History Museum, Jersey City, NJ; Aqua Art Miami, Miami, FL, Nimbus Arts Center, Jersey City, NJ; Superfine Art Fair, Los Angeles, CA among others. Into the Wolf’s Mouth (May 2026) will be the debut solo exhibition for Boykewich at SLAG&RX New York.
